Jennifer L Hanson
Rockford Road Animal Hospital Veterinarians - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Since 2005, Dr. Jennifer Hanson has loved working with the families and pets of RRAH. “Our top priority is always to provide exemplary care to our patients,” she explains. “We take the time to be thorough and to ensure that owners are well educated and comfortable with the care we provide for their pet,” she adds.
Dr. Hanson’s message to clients is always the same: Consistent preventative care throughout a pet’s lifetime is key to both quality of life and longevity. And, her message is heard. Dr. Hanson is known for her attention to detail, giving clients specific ways to manage their pet’s healthcare.
She brings these very strengths to her volunteer activities. Dr. Hanson and her husband, Matt, volunteer for Destination Imagination (DI). This is an educational program where student teams solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. DI is a challenge and process-based program. In working to solve challenges, teams learn important life skills like time management, collaboration, conflict resolution, and creative and critical thinking. Dr. Hanson and her husband also volunteer at the Minnesota State Science Bowl. This is an academic competition among Minnesota schools in a rapid-fire, question-and-answer format.
In her free time, Dr. Hanson and her husband enjoy trying different restaurants, the theatre and the art and culture the Twin Cities offer. They enjoy traveling to their favorite destinations, including the North Shore. They have a cat, Angus, who loves food as much as his pet parents, according to Dr. Hanson.
Dr. Hanson received her D.V.M from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine.
