Cryrotherapy

We are excited to offer cryotherapy as an advanced treatment option for certain small skin masses and lesions found on pets. Cryotherapy uses extremely cold temperatures to precisely freeze and destroy abnormal tissue in a quick, minimally invasive procedure. Whereas in the past, removal of even small masses often required heavy sedation or full anesthesia, cryotherapy can often be performed with no sedation at all and minimal to no discomfort for your pet. Cryotherapy is also typically more affordable than traditional surgical removal methods. The treatment can, in some cases, be performed during your pet’s regular appointment time, with little to no bleeding and no sutures required.

Most pets do not need to wear a cone or E-collar afterward, making recovery simpler and more comfortable. While some masses still require traditional surgical removal or biopsy, it is wonderful to have this option available for the patients and situations where it is an appropriate and effective choice. This innovative equipment represents a newer advancement in small animal medicine, and we are pleased to be able to offer it as part of our commitment to providing progressive, convenient care, patient-focused care
